Delcina Jones
Personal Trainer
I've been weight training
for about 15 years, but I really
got down to business when I decided to
take the Body for Life Challenge
in August of 1999. This not only
changed my physique, lifestyle, and
attitude about myself, but it changed
my life. After seeing my
transformations, I was ready to conquer
the world.
Nothing stood in my way, until I felt
something was missing in my life. I had
everything in the world, but I wanted to
be a mother. I had my first son in 2001
and continued to follow the Body for
Life diet and exercise routine. This
helped me with my pregnancy and labor.
I strongly encourage working out while
being pregnant. Stay under the watchful
eye of a professional and use
moderation. Be sure to include at least
800 extra healthy calories (not a
cheeseburger) such as an apple and
banana a day and be certain to let your
doctor know what program you are
following. Ladies, being pregnant does
not give you the excuse to eat anything
you want. Remember, what you eat your
baby eats. Your baby will take all the
nutrients and leave you with what is
left. Do you really want the fat from
that cheeseburger, fries and soft drink
on your hips after that precious baby is
delivered? Of course not! Eat
small well balanced meals and you will
thank yourself afterward.
My two
wonderful young boys are the love of my
life! My husband of 13 years has been
very supportive in letting me stay at
home to raise them in a good Christian
home and I enjoy my full time job most
days. There are days that are very
challenging, but we take a deep breath,
get some fresh air and go about our
day.
Again,
I felt that I needed to grow, to be a
more complete woman, mother, and wife. I
decided to realize my dream and become a
personal trainer. I have always had a
passion for fitness and I've always
wanted to make a difference in others
lives. Becoming a trainer and working
with such a great staff here at Elite
Physiques, I sincerely believe I am on
my way to reaching as many people as I
can to achieve their fitness goals.
Now
that I am training and striving to reach
my career goal of helping as many people
as I can, change their lifestyle by diet
and exercise, I have a goal of my own.
I have always wanted to compete in a
fitness competition or have a physique
to be a fitness model. I plan to reach
this goal before the age of 35. I'll
keep you guessing on when that is, but
it's quickly approaching! I need you
to help motivate me and hold me
accountable.
